I just finished the book Comfort Food and it was so good! It was a very easy read, and was extremely realistic. The way Gus was described made me feel as if I knew her. The story line seemed like a tv show that I had been watching for years. It was drama filled and had twists and turns but I really enjoyed it. Gus's show ends up getting canceled but is later joined with her neighbor Carmen to host a new show. Gus brings her family into the show to help keep her show "fresh". I thought that was really good because it could happen in real life. I didn't like how stuck up Gus was about the show, because she really wanted to do it alone. She just couldn't accept the fact that she was getting old and insisted on keeping the show to her self. Everything works out in the end and it was an appropriate ending for the book. I would recommend this book for, basically someone who loves comfort food. I feel like it was a bit too mature for me because of the difficult language it was written in. It felt a little dragged out and got kind of boring towards the middle but the ending did not disappoint :)
