The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

I just started the book "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold and it immediately started off with excitement. The main character Suzie Salmon is narrating the book from her prospective, in heaven. She can see everything that is happening on earth too. The first thing we find out is that she was murder on the way home from school. The description of her murder was so vivid I felt like I was there. I don't want to give it away, but it made me feel sick inside, to think that a human could do something so inhuman. As her murder kills her she slips into heaven and she as said before sees everything down on earth. I'm not too far into the story but there has been an investigation going on. The police can't find the place where she was murdered because it was in a storage place underground. What they do find however, is a body part. When Suzie sees this from heaven she is surprisngly happy because that would lead the police to finding her entire body. The story hasn't unraveled yet but I love the suspense. We also hear Suzies prospective from heaven and she describes that she has basically a utopia. Its everything she could have asked for at earth, except she's all alone. She does have a roommate but she is still scared. Can't wait to read how the investigation unwinds.
