The Pact by Jodi Picoult *FINISHED!*

It's been a while since I've blogged, but i recently finished the book. It was the most descriptive realistic plot and dialogues I have ever read in my life. The trial lasted over 100 pages and I could not put it down. The way Chris is able to control himself and not break down in front of all of the pressure is astounding. Jordan I find, is an extremely self centered lawyer and only cares about being number one, and his reputation. This was such a compelling read, finding out the relationship between Gus and Michael when things get a little to fiery between them, and how Chris feels after being in jail for more then 7 months. After finding out the verdict the jury came to, how could i not cry. Not saying who did it, but you will be appalled and your jaw will drop when you read it. The book seems so real and yet I had trouble picturing the characters. In the trial, Gus is described as having long strawberry blonde hair. I found that so strange because I did not have that in mind at all. I think the names are what make the picture, not actually about them. I was so mad a Chris during the trail, because he mad his mother go through something terrible. I will not give it away, but he does do something about it which takes the story on a complete different path. I recommend this book 100 percent and think it will be enjoyable for teenagers and older. P.S. read the epilogue!
